ferraus vibrato

Vibrato (pitch modulation)

Synopsis

ferraus vibrato <input> [options] [-o <output>]

What it does

Modulates pitch with a sinusoidally swept delay; --depth is the peak deviation in cents. The constant delay is compensated so the output lines up with the input.

This command is also an fx stage and a pipeline op: ferraus fx in.wav -o out.wav --fx "vibrato:key=value".

Examples

Subtle vocal vibrato

ferraus vibrato vox.wav -o vox_vib.wav

Wider vibrato

ferraus vibrato synth.wav --rate 6.5Hz --depth 50cents -o wobble.wav

Slow, gentle vibrato on a held flute note

ferraus vibrato flute.wav --rate 4.5Hz --depth 15cents -o flute_vib.wav

Fast one-semitone wobble blended with the dry lead for a detuned effect

ferraus vibrato lead.wav --rate 7Hz --depth 100cents --mix 50% -o lead_detune.wav
